We all do it, none of us are immune to it, but what if we chose to limit its presence in our lives? What would giving up procrastination allow us to accomplish? What possibilities would open up if we simply ventured into challenge, took action and accomplished what we always knew ought to be done. Could it be possible that the very thing we are delaying could be the difference between a more fulfilled existence?
It may seem somewhat odd however the reality is that in order to build courage and certainty we must first learn to master ourselves by controlling our internal responses. Building trust within self begins by doing what we know must be done regardless of how things feel. This is because the act of building success doesn’t always feel good, often its just plain hard. But persistence and tenacity can only be built through consistency. So the next time you’re faced with procrastination perhaps you’ll ask the question, what is this really costing me?
That’s a question I’ve asked myself many times. And I’ve spent many, many hours in the past dreaming about where such a change could take me in life and in the world. I know many others out there have done that too.
